Our story begins with our name...We chose the name Dulus Dominicus because the Dulus Dominicus is an indigenous bird that lives around coffee fields and especially in coffee trees , It is the only specie of it's kind. It is only found in one place in the whole world, the island of Hispaniola that is shared by both Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We chose that name because it represent the spirit of the coffee .
Since 1946 the Ramírez family have been growing coffee in the mountains of Jarabacoa in the Dominican Republic. Our Dulus Dominicus recipe only uses grains that are grown 100% organic, without the use of pesticides or fertilizers. When they reach maturity, they are hand picked, hand sorted to select only the best ones out of the harvest. They are then sundried under special shelters to preserve the freshness and finally roasted at the farm under strict supervision to insure the best flavours and aromas. The best coffee in the world is Dominican. Dulus Dominicus.
